2012 Westbank & District Key Business Awards Winners
The Westbank and District Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Key Business Awards Gala Saturday May 12 at The Cove Waterfront Resort. It was a ‘sold-out’ event which Chamber President, Craig Brown was thrilled about, “The west side’s business community truly came together to make this evening a great success. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to our corporate sponsors, judges and to all those who attended.”
For the first time, the Chamber presented a ‘Green Award’ – sponsored by BC Hydro with Kalala Organic Estate Winery as the first recipient.
Guests enjoyed a wine reception with Mt. Boucherie Secondary’s jazz band, “The Trappers” as the entertainment. Guest Speaker was former NHL player Brent Gilchrist who is currently President of Jeffco Ventures Inc., a subsidiary of JDS Energy & Mining. The Chamber would like to thank Brent Gilchrist for speaking, Jacques LeCavalier, 3Cru Wines for providing a bottle of wine to each award recipient accompanied by Brent Gilchrist’s autograph and the evening’s Master of Ceremonies Chanine Carr from 101.5 EZ Rock.
